Shades - Dandy John (š„āļø)
"Shades" to all people in Asia who are affected by the severe earthquakes. I wish you all the strength to see the light at the end of this dark time again.
Shades of grey when I close my eyes.
The veil of darkness covering the lights.
Shades of grey are whispering at me,
poetry of sorrow and dismay.
Ā
But I walk straight on.
I donāt review my mind.
I go on and on.
Troubles left behind.
Ā
I want to see the lights behind the empty darkness.
I want to feel the way you love me with your sweet caress.
It is time to get so far away.
Let the hope survive.
Ā
Shades of grey have taken all Iāve had,
knowing situations Iāve gone through.
Shades of grey remembering my doubts,
before Iāve crossed the fields and Iāve found you.
Ā
But we walk straight on.
We donāt review our minds.
We go on and on.
Troubles left behind.
Ā
I want to see the lights behind the empty darkness.
I want to feel the way you love me with your sweet caress.
It is time to get so far away.
Let the hope survive.
Ā
I doubtfully stepped out of the train,
on a journey where something has to change.
The foggy towers are staring at me.
They seem to bend over shadows of trees.
The night is flowing down the lane.
But I am trying not to complain.
Out of dim curtains flows the tar on my way
and then some lights appear out of the gray.
Ā
But we walk straight on.
We donāt review our minds.
We go on and on.
Troubles left behind.
Ā
I want to see the lights behind the empty darkness,
I want to feel the way you love me with your sweet caress,
it is time to get so far away,
let the hope survive.
