I couldn’t believe my eyes when, after just one day, 250,000 people have listened to my song (🥳🤗). I imagined where in the world you pressed the play button, what situation you were in when the birdsong and the first piano notes of 'Parents' began to play.
Music connects people; it awakens emotions that may be felt in the moment, or perhaps come from a long-forgotten time. 'Parents' is one of those songs that touches something in us that we can’t quite explain.
Perhaps 'Parents' captures a sense of timelessness — a state of past, present, and future all at once, a feeling of security that can last a lifetime when the early years of parental protection are sung about:
